In 2019, I was selected as a participant for the Angkor Photo Festival and Workshops in Siem Reap. During the five days of the workshop, I wanted to take pictures of a place where I didn’t know the rules or the language. Friends who had been there recommended following the river. I rented a bicycle for 2 dollars and ended up in a small village along the vast stretches of a dry river bed, far away from the town. In the following days, I kept returning to this area between Chreav and Tonle Sap, an agrarian region known for its rice production and fisheries, also a meeting point for religions and communities.
